Paul? If I may? (this'll probably piss off some folks, but let me put it into a perspective for you personally.

When I was a kid, I loved the subways, explored them, thought they were really neat. Yep - I became a foamer. I pretended I was driving trains just walking down the street when I was a kid. When I'd stumble upon a shopping cart, I'd roll it down the sidewalk, put my ear up against my arm as it rolled across the cracks, and it sounded just like a subway train. Got to know the maps, got to know the lines, was befriended by conductors and motormen because I wanted to learn and someday DO.

Lots of kids come up like that and love their trains and everything about them to one degree or another. They were called "buffs" back in my day and I actually got a chance to act out on my "hobby." I got hired up by the Teeyay. THEN it all changed. Found out that "buffs" were crazy SOB's and that a hired-up buff was seriously frowned upon by the powers that be. Then I *did* it for a living. Heh.

Now I'm not gonna say that every "trolley jolly" is completely nertz, but a good number of them are. Plain and simple. And hey ... you freely admit to your "buffitude" so it's all good. Some can take the hobby for what it is, end up actually doing something they love, and it's REALLY all good. There's fetishes on all sides of it, and some people are just plain anal about things. Teeyay cured me of foaming as it does many. Those that haven't served don't get to see the other side of it is what I'm saying. Dig.

But you're playing into it by arguing with some folks who just don't get it, and you're only playing into the game. You've SAID your piece, you've atoned for your "sins" and are probably so pissed off about all this that you'll never squeal again. Heh.

Think of what's going on here though as a party train ... you know the territory, you've punched their ticket and stuffed the seat check under the tab ... your job here is done. Go do your paperwork, make sure the door lights are out, and ready the trap door. Nobody's gonna fire yer ass. NEXT STOP! Thank you for riding, y'all come back now, y'hear? :)

Last and final stop ... "inbound ... relay!" is all you need to worry about up in here. Dump it, handle out, that's you to go on the stand.
