It can encourage people to join the museum, never said it will.But, you just made a good point that this hoopla over the accidental leak of info isn't so bad. These trips don't sell out during the members only period. So no big deal at all as all the members who wants to go can. In the meantime those who aren't members can save up $$ for it and have a chance to go. Again, this supposed perceived slight of non-members hearing about it is elemntary school yard thinking, sorry. It doesn't harm any member one bit. Yes you are right I am not a member of the NYTM. I do however, am a member of several other museums, where they do ask to keep info to ourselves, and occasionally the info does get out and I do not get upset, because I still get my first crack at the events.
