'Bus routes are being redesigned, some lengthed, some rerouted, and some truncated, to get more people onto the trains'It's not uncommon. It happened in the Newcastle upon Tyne area in the northeast of England when the Tyne & Wear Metro opened - though bus deregulation subsequently reversed the changes, at least in part. It also happened in the Croydon area of south London when the Tramlink opened, and there it hasn't been reversed (buses in London aren't deregulated!). |
