Correct - thanks for adding those to the list.And to make it even more confusing: Rockaway Ave. - on A and 3/4 trains Rockaway Parkway - on the L Rockaway Park - on the A/S Far Rockaway - on the A Rockaway Blvd. - on the A along with Far Rockaway and East Rockaway on the LIRR. and then the all-time station mis-identification that was literally miles apart: I live on the LIRR Long Beach Branch. Some years ago someone boarded my train at Penn Sta with an NJ Transit ticket to Long Branch. Apparently the person saw the destination sign posted at Penn and didn't read it correctly and got on the LIRR. I explained to the person how to reverse direction at Jamaica, and go back to Penn Station, and start over again. |
