I'm not sure it would have the same effect. The idea of a "Yellow Line" existing wasn't really the issue. The fact that the existing line, which has a significant Asian rider base and serves the Asian dominated community in the region, was renamed "Yellow" was what annoyed the group of people. If another MARTA line was dubbed the Yellow Line, they likely wouldn't care at all.The fact that they are willing to accept the line as "Gold" makes the request a lot more reasonable and respectable than demanding that a Red line or Brown Line be changed to another color name. Dunno what else you would call a Brown Line unless you get into "crazy" names like Chocolate, Mahogany, or Mocha. |
