Some will still do that until they get a morning where the V is right behind the J and just wait on the platform at Essex and take that, realizing the V is one less stop going up to midtown as there is no stop at 2nd Avenue on the new V as opposed to the F.Even without that, ex-M riders who made the transfer to the F at Essex-Delancey will simply stay on the V (unless they are taking the F in the opposite direction to East Broadway OR are specifically looking for 57th or 63rd-Lex, a transfer that can also be made at 47-50), and that alone will make for fewer passengers on the F when it gets to 2nd Avenue. |
