Avenue C Cuphandle now!Instead of the crazy Avenue C Cuphandle it would be better to have a new service branch off the (L) at 14th St and go down Avenue C/Pitt St to E. Broadway and join the (F) into the Rutgers St tunnel and be a daytime express along the Culver Line. The (F) could be reduced to 10 TPH. It would be joined by a 6 TPH Orange (M) via Christie at Bway/Lafayette. These combined services would service Queens. Four of the six (M) trains would run express all the way to 179th. The (F) and (E) would flip Queens terminals. Two of the (M) trains would go to Jamaica Center. The (V) would also go via Christie and run local to Woodhaven Blvd after which it would turn north and "leap" unto the Old Rock and join itself at 63rd Rd and become a circular route. That would give 71st St the room to run the (G) there 24/7. |
