Don't blame the current MTA suits because the current regime has to deal with the mistakes made by past regimes for this nonsense. They even "murdered" flexibility with the R68/68A by unitizing them.

It happens every day with the G. 4 cars aren't enough and 8 cars are too much. Plus vandalism/crime would become an issue when the cars are virtually empty in the opposite direction and when the crowd gets off. Finally more time needed to relay with the longer train increases costs too. Spend less time on the computer and ride a G out of Church on the AM rush that has 2 F's ahead of it and 9 minutes behind its' leader to see for yourself.
