He's talking about the ORIGINAL K which was a renaming of the old KK service which operated as a Bway Bkln Lcl originally between 168 Jamaica and later E/Pky and 57/6 from 1968 until 1976. The double letter designation was replaced by the single letter as one of the first routes to be affected by the TA's then new policy of eliminating double letters. After all the routes that did not have single and double letter duplications were changed to single letters, the A/AA presented a problem so the K designation was reused to rename the old AA local.
