Indeed. Speaking of trolleys on the 23, I did ride a PCC car one year that operated along the 23 in Center City. This was the holiday trolley.What ever happened to this program? Are the trolleys still around or were they converted into PCC IIs? As a matter of fact, it was quite interesting to see them run the trolley service along the 23 line in previous years. I'm not sure if they ran the entire route, but I sure remember them running up Germantown Ave in Mount Airy and Chestnut Hill. The cool thing is that they made all of the 23 stops along the way. Alas, I always ended up getting the Neoplan (which, interestingly enough, is no longer with us) but it was great to see. I wish I had a camera back then to take pictures! |
