You tell me, you're the one insisting that Oyster Bay is so incredibly out of the way and that the line should be forgotten.Run a few trains per day, peak direction, maybe peak period if that works outs. Cut the rest of the service in accordance with reasonable service interval-loading guidelines. Chalk it up as a loser and dedicate the limited funds to more productive ends. Other than that the alignment from Mineola to Sea Cliff is fairly straight and can handle higher speeds than what are currently reached. Given the small demand, there is no need for multimillion dollar upgrades. |
