It would be great to speed that up, but given the timed signals, I'm not sure how that could be doneI'm almost tempted to say that NYCTA should move to CBTC and aim for a moving block system on the Queens Railway. hence my prescription that we should study how to bring acceleration rates into the 4-5mph/s range IIRC, I don't think there's any system with rates above 3.2 mphs... |
