I would like to see restoration of train service on Third and Webster Avenues at least between East 138th Street-Third Avenue and Gun Hill Road-White Plains Road if not from East 125th Street and Lexington Avenue.This could be a benefit to middle Bronx residents whose options since April 29, 1973 have been either the (2)/(5) on Westchester Avenue/Southern Boulevard or the (B)/(D) on Grand Concourse and Boulevard. This could also possibly help to relieve Lexington Avenue. If you start at East 125th Street and Lexington Avenue, a transit center with the (4)(5)(6) (Q)(T) and MNRR could be created; if you start from East 138th Street-Third Avenue, a transfer with the (6) could be created. |
