It is that unfortunate thinking and low expectations that has keept our system dirty, and gritty for decades. No one said it was possible for graffiti-free trains, then a plan was formulated and the result, graffiti-free trains since 1989, then no one said it would be possible to have clean windows, a plan was formulated and today the only windows still destroyed exist on the r-32 r-42 and the r-46 that has not had the SMS.Bottom line, anything can be maintained. IF they paid attention to track walls of open cuts and along the entire system and they paid attention to the interors of the r-62 & r-68 tin cans, they too cluld be cleaned up and MAINTAINED. Vandals quickly realize that if the vandalism is removed, they do not get their fame and they stop. You want to save taxpayer money, eliminate eating, drinking on trains and eliminate student passes. Finally have students attend schools in their own communities. ANother idea is to install cameras on every NTT. |
