Do they have point and shoots (particularly ultra-zooms) with a fast enough aperture? My Olympus C-765 only goes up (down?) to 2.8, and only in 3.2 when in certain zoom modes/lighting conditions.Yes, they have non-DSLRs that go up to F2.0. For a while none were available, but lately I believe both Panasonic and Canon have one model each. Since F2.0, in my mind, should be the highest priority for a subway photographer, the cameras I used from 2003 to 2005 were Canon point and shoots with F2.0. However, these days, with improved ISO noise filtering that might be available on higher end point and shoots, it may be that ISO 3200 on a point and shoot is not too bad, and can make up for only having an F2.8 lens. I don't know. I haven't used any modern point and shoots lately. |
