I was really referring to the overall process as primitive, especially having to shoot "blind" without being able to monitor results on the spot. I realize now that a lot of my slides are underexposed which makes them hard to scan. And for some reason my scanner (Nikon LS-40) and software (Vuescan) makes my Kodachrome come out blue by default, even though it looks more or less OK when I hold it up to the light. I have to tweak the scanning software to add more red to the exposure, and fiddle with curves etc. in Photoshop to get things to look plausible. Negatives are much easier for me to scan.![]() ![]() |
