What could have been a possible scenario sans Moses' highways? I'm thinking something like a more comprehensive series of boulevards like Woodhaven/Cross Bay and Linden, and "parkways" like Ocean and Eastern. People bitching about what is here now should imagine a ten lane wide Jamaica Avenue - Broadway corridor as an example of what might have happened. The Belt Parkway does make sense. |
