You can build subways IF you don't have the money...and Moses was able to secure PLENTY of it for "HIS PROJECTS"...and very little for rail lines...Why are thereno tracks over the George Washington Bridge..even though it was planned to have one...? Why didn't the BOT finish the Van Wyck Blvd subway BEFORE the Hillside route..even though the later was planned FIRST.. Why were plans for the line cancelled while the Queens residents were told to clearly expect the line by 1940. You see...he was nuts. A nut that was a racist bastard..with power.. |
