Yup. The LA metro is the most densely populated metro area in the US. We don't have a super dense area like Manhattan, but our suburbs are much more densely populated than NYC suburbs. LA has an undeserved reputation for sprawl. I guess that it does sprawl, but it's dense sprawl, not the typical suburban sprawl that people think of like with sunbelt cities. Cities and towns 30 miles from downtown LA touch border to border and are 5-10,000 ppl per sq mile.
