Just saw the remake for the first time the other night. It was more like a mistake. Remakes in general are pathetic but this was really bad. It had no class like the original and absolutely no New York feeling whatsoever. The 1974 movie was very realistic and the cast was superb.The clincher to this pathetic remake was a supposedly East Side IRT ending up on the BMT Culver to Coney Island no less! |
