And it's bad, because the C3s are totally acceptable coaches. They are good. But the problem is that they also are limited in what can pull them as they are taylor made Because those cars have a long lifetime ahead of them the LIRR's best route out now would be to attract federal funding to fully electrify their diesel routes with high voltage AC wire and purchase multisystem electric locomotives. It may be a pipe dream, but I like the idea. |
