Posted by 156n3rd on Mon Nov 2 16:22:47 2009 Already looking forward to the next Phialdelphia Auto Show early 2010. Even though it's relatively short ride and the trains are still the old Budd units (You can have a Bud, I'll take a Blue Moon, no worries.) it's a tatse of rail travel. It takes us right to where we want to go and we don't even have to leave the building if we don't feel like it. But we will to get a fresh WAWA coffee. See, it's a local thing as well as a regional thing. Back in the day, we coulda taken the trains from Allentown right on down the line. I think some of those tracks still exist and it would be cool to ride down through to Bethlehem, Hellertown, Quakertown and on the rest of the way to Philly. It'll be really cool when those new Hyundai cars start rolling. If you go to the auto show, try Empress Gardens on N. 10th Street. Excellent, small and personal Chinese restaurant. |
