"The Bridges of New York" book by Sharon Reier, shows the lower level of the GWB with 4 tracks. A retired IRT motorman told me that the "AA"had been planned to go under Route 4 in NJ to Paterson. Regional transit planning did not exist back then, so it never got off of the ground- or under it. |
