It's physics and engineering, not intelligence.

Lift 100lbs, and hold it above your head for 15 seconds.

Now, do the same thing, but shift the weight so the majority of it is on your left side instead of even.

A lot harder to hold it up now, isn't it?

Next, do it with just one arm.

That's about as basic an explanation as I can give you for what the job entails.

Oh, and do the job wrong, and you have even more problems. After all the suspenders are replaced, they then need to be 'tuned'.
