I'm fairly certain that if they could have been replaced at less cost, the R32s would already be gone.As it is, you know, the GOH program was not cost-effective. NYCT would have been better off purchasing many more R62/68/As and a 60' car modeled on the R68/A. I miss the R32s, but that said, I mean the R32s of old, pre-GOH. Although the improved climate control is a great improvement post-GOH, the cars emerged, in my view, quite fugly. |
