The longer the route, the more comfortable car should be used.I agree. The R160 seats are hideously uncomfortable and fewer in number. The idea that running time is proposed to increase and that more R160 trains are to comprise the F fleet is not a blessing: it's a curse! Probably the R160 sets have higher dwell time too, due to the longer announcements. But no doubt some R46s will be allocated to the A/C routes to replace older 60' stock there. |
