Its a shame that most subway cars built during that era weren't made of stainless steel. I bet if Budd did build the R9's, those cars would have survived into the 1980's. That's why the R32's are regarded as one of the best built R series fleets. I for one think the TA is making a grave mistake of retiring the R32's.randyo, another excellent post I've read today.
