Whale...The LION thinks that it would hurt even more if they got clopped into a low clearance somewhere. And is a conductor required to know where every low clearance is? Is the T/O? LION thinks "pull the cord" is correct, and as long as that is the rule, the rule will protect the crew. If the C/R were to say "well, I thought pulling the cord would put them in greater danger" and something happens to them anyway, as it well may, then the MTA cannot stand behind their actions even if it wanted to. And in looking for outside scapegoats, the C/R made himself el primo target No. 1. Nope, you look out for number 1, you pull the cord. ROAR |
