Case in point, several years ago NJT was extending the #7 Newark City Subway to Newark-Broad St. In a long disused tunnel, they discovered an old wood bodied Public Service snow plow. It was in surprisingly good shape since being abandoned there since the early 1950's. Well the snow plow was removed by not dismantled. The plow, I was told by Branford was submerged in water at some time. The plow is now in the collection of the Shore Line Trolley Museum. Here's a pic below after being repainted. Although a trolley pole is on the roof, the plow does not yet run on it's own power. So if this plow, submereged under water, not turning a wheel since the early 1950's, then maybe the ex-LIRR parlor car could roll again. ![]() Car: 5245...
