Probably the success of the TM in selling t-shirts and other trinkets gave the MTA the idea that they could make money off of their logos and such. I don't begrudge them entirely but they are definitely being overly aggressive and are cutting their own noses to spite their face. Then there is the issue of how much of the licensing money as opposed to gift shop sales is actually going to support the TM and how much is going to the black hole better known as the general fund of the MTA.Largely because of this issue I am sending the TM a "Cease and Desist" order to force them to remove my name from their wall (list of Charter Members). I wonder how they will like a dose of their own medicine! |
