It would be nice if DM trains could use the Lower Montauk. The mainline will be stressed more than ever before once GC becomes a destination. It has 4 tracks, so it can probably handle it, but it would be nice to get some of those diesels off the line. Not to mention, imagine the possibilities if they could make at least one local station a "real" station, such as Fresh Pond if the line led to Manhattan! It couldn't be "that" hard to do, the tracks are so close....so close, yet so far.... |
