WE WERE NEVER ATTACKED OR BOMBED ON OUR OWN SOILRight; Pearl Harbor wasn't "our own soil". none of our infrastructure or factories were damaged No; only stretched to the breaking point. This of course carried its own penalty, because in other countries where industry was destroyed, new and more efficient infrastructure was built to replace what was destroyed. They later got ahead of us because of that efficiency No; they got "ahead of us" due to greed in this country on the part of global industrialists. That's the only thing that turned us "postindustrial". Furthermore, not all industry in our enemies' countries was destroyed, and especially with Germany, foolish politicians decided to let people like Krupp and others go free . . . |
