They have some valid points. I have noticed trains at atlantic yards area running air conditioning all days with the doors open

Can anyone on this board tell me why it takes and hour to shut off an engine? It is a big waist of fuel and pollution.

Is this the real reason. The management at the yard found it easier to leave the trains running than doing a break inspection. That makes me beg to ask the question are all these extra break inspections really needed if the mta has been leaving trains on not to do them
