It is proper and easier to use the agency's vehicle since any taxi service would be required to have enough insurance to equal all injured claims and worker's comp in case of a traffic accident. Having worked both in TA and now class 1, I get an escort at all times and have known claimants involved in such misfortunes of late arrival at MAC or being hurt in an accident while enroute. I don't know what funding has changed since they got the Line manager program, maybe TD can elaborate if RTO can borrow one of his Suburbans out of Pitkin Yd to transport an A or C line RTO member to the nearest MAC |
