WalMart offers some very nice health insurance benefits to its employees.And to their credit, they also offer lots of part-time work to people who otherwise could not work full time. And WalMart gets dinged by the Democrats for having the most employees on Medicaid, when they specifically offer work to people who otherwise would be unable to work. They have no problem hiring someone with downs syndrome for example. Employment with WalMart will not get them off of the dole, they will never be that kind of worker, but the can have dignity, a job and some extra income. Then people look at WalMart's books, at their total number of employees and then wiggle their finger at them, when actually they are a great employer, with good benefits. ROAR |
