There are just too many stories around the country of people being harassed for taking pictures by police and private security guards.Flickr Group - photography is not a crime The Harassed Photographer DC Photo Rights The organizer of this group testified in the congressional hearings about Union Station DC NPRO Blog - Photography is Not a Crime Vivid Light Photography as well as various threads/articles in Photo.net and dozens of other photography sites. Personally I am cautiously optimistic that the tide is starting to turn. Unless there are incidents that are not being reported it seems that the harassment of photographers on the New York Subway has diminished. |
