Ye olde Floral Park

This pic raises a question, since I can't tell if it's looking east or west. Is the current station located in the same spot as this older one? Apparently it's got the same configuration as Hollis or Queens Village, meaning Hemstead trains serve two outside local tracks, while mainline trains run express down the middle two. That would mean there had to be an interlocking immediately west of old Floral Park to allow the local tracks to connect to the diverging line towards Hempstead, as we see currently at QUEENS. But the current Hempstead branch diverges immediately east of the new station. Anyone know how the tracks were configured during this era?

And while I'm at it, anyone know why Floral Park was configured for mainline trains to use, but NOT Bellrose? (the same question could be asked of Valley Stream, compared to Lynbrook).
