True....but at times when the LIRR were performing track work, the Diesel work train came whizzing by late at night...sometimes slow and sometimes not.But that's not regular service. I live about a 1/2 mile from the diesel only Montauk branch, and if the wind and weather conditions are right, they may as well be in the back yard. But again, these people CHOSE to move to LIC, the trains were there long before them. |
