The radios were introduced on the IRT around 1968, and came to the"B" division in the early 1970s. I wouldn't read too much into the culver line being assigned the B-1 channel. Since all of the nearby radio infrastructure was on B-1, to put it on B-2 would have required installing separate repeaters. Likewise, Flushing was always on B-1, not A. |
