The RDC Wall Street and Crusader had one RDC-2 (combine) in their consists, in addition to RDC-1s. The baggage section of the RDC-2 was made into a bar with stools. On a warm afternoon, the baggage door was left open, with a chain across, so the sounds of the rail joints, train horns, etc., as well as brake shoe smells were like railroaders' heaven.LBC |
