The way people have been talking about the different things down here, there are stubs, spur tracks, abondoned areas ect! I'm sure there are some odds and ends we did miss.e.g. just before Atlantic Avenue on the IRT there was a single trackway that connected the IRT with the LIRR. The switches between Nevins and Atlantic are pointing to that trackway. AFAIK the trackway hasn't been used in 85+ years. It was a private track so that August Belmont could take his private subway car (The Minola) to and from Belmont race track. |
