No. J and M trains were cut during midday hours at varying times during the 90's. Since I worked in Metro Mall during that era, I encountered them every day. The last midday 4 car train I remember riding was in the spring of '97. M trains were routinely cut during the 93-94 time period. That seemed to stop when the M and N exchanged places on the 4th Ave express/local. I hated riding the cut J trains because they still stopped at the 8 car markers. Very annoying if the exit was at the OTHER end. |
