Let me be an arse on this one, one last time... (and don't call me a dick rider. LOL)I picked up some of your exaggeration within this thread. a long of blue-collar folk that want to save money on gas would take the railroad there it's also a place where a lot of blue collar workers (who do make up a lot of the Ronkonkoma branches ridership during the peak hours already) who would take the new service live. Riverhead could be a huge ridership generator But there's still a significant amount of people in the Hamptons that live there and commute to Manhattan. It's very significant And they were all shot down rather quickly. Don't you think? |
