I was looking at census reports from places like Deer Park and Brentwood a few months ago, and there was a definite and drastic increase in population between 1980 and 2000. I can't say for certain if said increase was out of proportion with other Suffolk County towns served by other diesel LIRR lines, but it was tangible. Farmingdale's population increased almost 60% in that time period. |
