I'm also an SI resident, but I usually use the express bus. I do ride the subway for various errands, and work-related field trips.I'd forgotten all about the temporary entrance/headhouse. It seems like the entrace at the front of the train was the passeway visible in a 1905 pic on nycsubway.org. I guess that stairway was never really eliminated. |
