Re 4 and 7: The IRT practice was to number the tracks inside outand backwards 4-2-1-3. If there is a need for a second piece of signal apparatus within the same 100-foot chaining section, then the numbers repeat 8-6-5-7. So "7" is the same as "3". Look around, there is probably something with a plate of 2243 nearby. Btw, last digit of 0 or 9 was used for special conditions such as junction boxes. |
