If you look closely when driving on the LIE, you can see that on one side, you have the buildings that face the old street, but they tore down all the buildings on the other side of the street to widen for the expressway. In some sections in the Horace Harding stretch, on one side you see the front of buildings, and on the other side, you see the rear of buildings on the adjoining street. That's because they took the buildings that used to face the street on that side to widen. |
