At least with the super express on the PW it'd be a one seat ride. Now you wanna transfer at Bayside AND have a slower ride?I was actually stating for NYCTA to run with the LIRR on the same tracks. In other words, the LIRR keeps going to NYP for the commuters, and NYCTA runs into 63rd Street Upper Level. Of course, the FRA would never allow that... Still, if somebody put a gun to my head, the PW Line of all the LIRR lines has the most interesting potential to be a "subway" line since it's basically isolated from the rest of the LIRR and has no freight service. It would be nice if NYCTA could aim for a 3 door 2 X 2 with plush seating set up with 80 mph MAS and 3.0 mph/s for said service... |
