The Archer line uses the old Van Wyck Blvd subway stubs...built along with the main line..for the route to Rockaway Blvd..and would have been built FIRST[before the Hillside route] if Robert MOSES didn't get his way.The tunnels ran as far as a double crossover[about the size of a 10 car train Plus a little more] far along V/W Blvd... |
