Slight correction on one of the earlier posts. The bellmouths at Woodhaven Blvd on both ends of both local platforms were provisions for the eventual conversion of the station to an express stop in the event the demographics warranted it. N/O Roosevelt Av on the S/B side, there is also a bellmouth with a ramp ascending to the upper level and which did have a layup track on it at one time. The N/B bellmouth doesn't appear to be long enough to have ever had any track installed, but on the Roosevelt Av interlocking machine there are spare levers for the necessary signals and switches and if you look carefully, you can see where the tracks were once displayed on the model board but have been painted out. Just N/O the ramp on the S/B lcl track there is a home signal D1-1415 which has had the lower portion lenses covered over and now functions as an automatic signal. Due to new signalling being installed in the area the signal will soon be removed if it hasn't been already. The bellmouths mentioned at Utica Av on the IRT are South of the ststion, not north since the S/E of the station is a bit west of Utica Av itself. There are probably a few more places on the system that I can't recall at the moment but I'll try to post tem as I think of them unless someone else post them first so I'll try not to duplicate.
